It’s been a while since I posted a time lapse painting. It is something I have to be in the mood for, I guess. Painting can be such a relaxing activity. When I have to go through the extra work of setting it up for recording, it can make it seem more like work. But, when the work table is clean and the camera is close at hand, it can be fun.
I always notice, a couple of minutes into the painting, I’ve forgotten that the camera is rolling and I’m really just studying the paper in front of me. This painting is of a pasture at sunset. Here in rural Mississippi, this kind of scene is what you will most frequently see. I enjoy it so much. If I’m a passenger and we are driving near sundown, I’m always on the lookout for the break in the trees where I can look off into a beautiful sunset. One might look something like the painting in this video.
