I’ve had some tubes of watercolor paint I’ve been hanging onto for a while. The few times I used them, they didn’t perform in a way that I liked. Rather than letting them sit, I decided to try them in a poured painting using the same technique that I would use in a dirty pour acrylic situation.
The colors really pop and the effect is dramatic. Each color of paint is mixed with glue with just a squirt of WD-40. After the painting dries, I give it a coat of Liquitex gloss varnish to bring back the shine. Click the picture below to see a video of how this process works!
